  • To promote the understanding of haemodialysis, such as modalities and the main principles of diffusion, osmosis, filtration, and convection, among professionals who work with ESKD patients with acute or chronic renal failure.
  • Promote knowledge and practice in acute kidney injury care among ICU nurses.
  • Contribute to encourage community nurses a primary prevention approach, which requires awareness of modifiable CKD risk factors.
  • Develop, with experts within EDTNA/ERCA & consultants, a care model for community nurse involvement in the self-care of ESKD patients on dialysis.
  • To collaborate with other professionals in activities related to the outcomes of haemodialysis.
  • To collaborate with vascular access and peritoneal dialysis board on research into the impact of access infections on patients undergoing home dialysis (HHD & HPD).
  • To collaborate with the paediatric nephrology consultant and the psychological care consultant to develop a guide "How to manage haemodialysis care in a child with special needs and their parents".
  • To create an (online) platform with all EDTNA/ERCA consultants, which would allow patients/families and/or carers to feel that they are being looked after throughout the process.
